Today’s Epiphany

Today ~ I had an Epiphany.  Thank you God!!  Nate will be Baptized a week from Saturday.  He will wear the same Baptismal gown as my Daddy, me & Sam.  When Sam was Baptized, I had the gown; but, not the slip.  So, I made one.  I decided to sew into the slip small pin tucked hems.  On these hems, I embroidered Daddy’s name & year of birth; same for me and Sam.

Now~ here comes the miracle.  I needed to spell Nate’s name.  No problem ~ right.?  Well, I had this nagging question…let’s call it what it was ~ God was saying  to me….“you’d better call & ask”.  Now here are all the small miracles:

  • Sandra posted something on Facebook with his name.  The fact that I noticed her post was a miracle.
  • I noticed his name was spelled funny.  I thought it was a “typo”.  The miracle…I noticed the “typo”.
  • The miracle…I remembered all this 2 1/2 weeks later.
  • The miracle…I finally gave in & made a phone call.  I really do not like talking on the phone.  You’ll NEVER get caught on a phone call with me!!!

Here’s how my Mr. Nate’s name is spelled…Nathanael.   I’m so very Thankful I followed God’s advice & called before I started embroidering his name!!!

LYM ~ my sweet precious angel Nathanael sent straight from God!!

Your,

∞ Honey ∞

p.s.  To my sweet Nate, I just did a little research on your name.  From the Catholic Encyclopedia:

Nathanael - One of the first disciples of Jesus, to Whom he was brought by his friend Philip.”

Nate’s 1st. Visit to His Honey’s & Papa’s House

Today ~ was Nate’s 1st. visit

to his Honey’s & Papa’s house.

I guess to Nate

…it was the same old same old.

He ate & slept :)

The surprising thing for me was

…we prepared Sam big time for having

to share her Mommy & Daddy with a baby;

but, we didn’t prepare her for

having to share her

Honey & Papa ;-/

She wasn’t in the room when Nate arrived.

I was holding him when she came into the room.

She said…

No, No, No, Honey; you can’t hold him :(

Uh ~ Oh ;-/

That was very short sighted.

We have our work cut out for us.

Andy’s Birthday Party :)

YEA ~ we get Sam!!

Since Andy’s birthday was so soon after

Nate was born,

Jason & Sandra asked me to take Sam to Andy’s party.

I don’t know who was more excited about Andy’s party…

Sam or me? :)

(Sam & Andy have been good friends since…before they were born.)

Thankfully, the party was held @ Chick Fillet.

What a GREAT idea!!

They have a dancing cow :)

Behind Andy’s parents & Sam,

you’re notice the really nice

slide w/ climbing fort.

All indoor :)

I learned … Sam is a two fisted eater when ~

presented with french fries & cupcake.

However…to get her eat her oatmeal this morning

took MUCH bribery!!

Sam LOVES:

Thomas the Train

&

puzzles.

Put those two favorites together…

spells ~ successful bribery :)

I hope Jason is ok with this.

It comes under the heading of

Love ya ~ Son :)

Sorry son…please forgive me.

If it is any consolation to you…I can’t manipulate the photos like I like to ;-/

it was time to be born :)

{photo by: Jason Price}

He  seems to be a very good baby & nursing quite well!

I’m very grateful to Papa

…While he stayed home with Sam & Pama,

he let me go to the hospital

and meet Nate :)

I’ll have to figure out some way to make it up to him.

Well…enough about me.

The rest of the pictures are all about Nate :)

Sam Goes to BabyLand General Hospital

Sam will soon become a big sister :)

When Sandra first became pregnant,

Angela (as Sam’s God-Mother) came up with the brilliant idea

… to take Sam to Babyland General Hospital for her very own baby.

We decided to wait until Sandra was just about due to take the trip.

Well…the time is very near; so off we went.

ImageSam was so excited ~ at Jimmy Carter Blvd & 85, Sam was asking…are we there yet?

Image

And…we arrived :)

Image

Humm…What about her?

Image

Look at all these babies growing out of cabbages ;-/

Image

This is soo much fun !!!

Image

We watched a baby being born…It’s a boy :)

Image

After much consideration, Sam found her baby :)

She chose to adopt this one because his eyes are the same as her’s :)

Image

Here ~ Sam named him…

Image

Gabriel Luke :)

Image

Now ~ it’s time to introduce Gabriel Luke to Santa :)

Image

All indications are…Sam will be a Excellent big sister :)

Sam you are such a precious little angel sent straight from God!

Love…

Bitter ~ Sweet…Our Family Trip to Florida

And ~ we’re off…headed for

Port St. Joe.

in the panhandle of Fl.

The plan is for all of us

…the Lenfest’s, Price Jr’s., Honey & Papa…

to leave Saturday morning,

driving separately

&

meet at

San Bliss

that late afternoon.

(Thankfully, we all traveled safely.)

Sunday morning,

together ~ we went to Mass.

And ~ after Mass….

 Sam got to ring the

church bell :)

(Now for the sad part.)

After church,

…per the plan…

I called my cousin

Alan to see when would

be a good time for us all

to get together

for a visit.

I haven’t seen my Sweet

Aunt Ann

for almost 2 years.

Very sadly ~

Alan told me

…she had been admitted into the

hospital Thursday, been going

down hill

and had been given

Last Rites.

She was still alive, unconscious;

but, he was assured….

she could still hear

everything that was said to her.

Additionally, we were 2 hours away.

Allen & I hopped in the car & drove right there.

Thankfully, I was able to visit

with her & the family

before she died on Monday October 3rd.

(Which also is the same date 38 years ago my Daddy died.)

(I don’t like that date.)

BTW ~ this is the sunrise Allen managed to

capture the morning

Aunt Ann died.

Remember ~ the name of my blog is

“Bitter ~ Sweet”

We’re on a family vacation.

Allen & I took lots of walks on the beach.

I entitled this photo…Mamma Duck & Her Ducklings :)

Sea gulls lifting off  the ocean in flight.

The point…conflicting currents :)

Yep ~ it’s a shark…YIKES !!!!!

Now for the SWEET :)

We met Jason, Sandra &

Sam

at the

Indian Pass Trading Post

A new food for Sam

…corn on the cob…

On Tuesday, Sam got stung by a

Mean ol jelly fish :(

She really got stung very badly

at the top of her thighs.

She was such a trooper.

But, everyday ~ she’d

turn around, stick out her back side

and say

…mean ol jelly fish :(

Jason’s & Sandra’s anniversary is this month.

Angela suggested

…they take the whole day;

do what ever they wanted

and we’d watch Sam.

We had a BLAST !!!!

Here…Sam is mining for sea shells

~ so she can throw them back in the water :)

Uncle Brandon got Sam to bury him in the sand :)

He’s very brave!!

Now that Sam has gotten sand all in

Uncle Brandon’s mouth & hair,

she’s a “sand angel” :)

Aunt Angela helps Sam build a castle.

Sam decided to add a mote :)

We had such a great day

filled with so much activity;

we totally wore Sam out.

Night Night…Sweet ~ Sweet Sam!!!

Every morning,

Sam & I had a favorite routine

…we’d watch the sunrise together :)

Sam is such a JOY!!

She brims with awe & wonder;

then she expresses her joy very colorfully :)

Sam decided it was “her turn” to

take the pictures :)

“C-H-E-E-S-E-”

On Allen’s & my last day,

as a family, we decided to take

a sunset cruise around the bay.

Sam LOVED every second of it!!

Here…Captain Gary ~ called Sam up

to drive the boat :)

We had a wonderful vacation!

The Blessing for me…

I got to say Goodbye to my Sweet Aunt Ann.

She altered my life

in many ways (for the better).

I’m very thankful & grateful

and will miss her very much.

I love you Aunt Ann.

Rest in God’s Peace.

Last Day ~ Water Day :)

Sadly ~ today was Sam’s last day of Camp.

Everyday she got more & more excited

about going.

Today ~ she was about to burst with excitement :)

By Wednesday – while I was signing her in,

 she started R-U-N-N-I-N-G

to her classroom.

Today is “Water Day”.

Here ~ Sam is showing Miss Kate

her bathing suit.

After dropping off Sam @ Camp,

Allen, Analeah & I went for a hike @

Stone Mountain.

Look at the very 1st. thing we saw :)

And ~ I’m happy to report…

they’ve finally finished rebuilding the

bridge @ the Dam road.

It was VERY HOTTT !!

Allen is trying to catch the breeze.

This is the little school news letter

that was in Sam’s backpack.

Do you recognize that cute little post-girl

in the bottom left-hand corner? :)

This is the backside of the newsletter.

This was such a wonderful experience

for our sweet Sam.

I’m very thankful for the program

&

Sandra allowing us the opportunity

to keep Sam so she could attend :)

Camp ~ 3rd. Day

I’m pleased to report

today is Sam’s 3rd. day @ camp

and she continues to love it!!

Today,

They must have been the

Community Helpers :)

When we arrived to pick her up,

the children were posing for a

class picture as

Community Helpers.

Sam on the left

is a postman;

next ~ a policeman

next (in red) a fireman

and, last on far right is

Jadda ~ a chef :)
